ArkenOS launches Optimus-1, a swarm harness for autonomous research
_AustinCalvert_ · x · 2026-10-20
ArkenOS has released Optimus-1, billed as the first swarm harness for autonomous research, now generally available.
- Spawns swarms that sample the hypothesis space in parallel on hard research problems, chasing anomalies until they resolve into artifacts or discoveries
- Unlike coding agents, it targets long-horizon discovery where most branches fail and the key challenge is knowing which results to believe, keeping only what replicates
- The team says hundreds of teams, from RL environments to frontier research groups, already use ArkenOS to scale their research
