Gemini can import your entire ChatGPT history — and Google says it trains on it

Gemini's 'Import chats' (live since March) lets you upload your ChatGPT export ZIP and continue old chats. Google's help page caveats: imported chats go into Activity and 'are used to improve our services (including training generative AI models)' even if you opted out in ChatGPT; it's all-or-nothing (Claude's export allows date ranges); re-uploading overwrites earlier imports; and it's blocked on work/school accounts and in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK.
