Product Hunt CEO sees 100s of launches a week — his 4 infra bets for AI startups
markjeffrey · x · 2026-10-20
Product Hunt CEO Rajiv Ayyangar, reviewing hundreds of launches weekly, names four infrastructure areas ripe for startups:
- Voice AI: infra is getting really good (pipecat, Vapi, Deepgram, ElevenLabs), yet good voice tech rarely shows up in the real world.
- Decision Models: led by Jev and typesafeai — he compares it to mech-building in Zelda TOTK, an explosion of possibilities.
- Personal Agents: "they work now" and need tools, apps, and MCPs.
- Extensions (OpenAI): we all live in agentic interfaces now; someone should build, say, a Slack replacement that lives inside Codex.
