Dev Slams OpenAI Models for Looping When Review Becomes the Task, Not the Gate
alexcovo_eth · x · 2026-10-20
Developer alexcovoeth called out a known failure mode in OpenAI models: when the model treats review as the task instead of the gate, it falls into loop behavior. He says he wastes significant time and usage catching this every time.
He adds that otherwise the models are really good, but hopes they get smarter so users don't have to keep manually interrupting the loops.
