Claude one-shots 156KB GLSL shader mimicking iquilezles' style, sparking authorship debate

Shadertoy co-founder Inigo Quilezles highlighted a demo where a 20-second video clip given to Claude Opus was rebuilt as a single 156KB GLSL fragment shader — no textures, no video frames, just math, looping seamlessly.
His provocation: if the shader was one-shot with a skills.md asking Claude to impersonate him — pulling his work on shapes, lighting, animation, his style, maths, techniques and even variable naming conventions — is it actually his brain's work? He argues Claude only did the mechanical part of imitating his usual moves, raising a genuinely interesting question about authorship in the AI era.
