ChatGPT agents can now message other chats, enabling multi-agent handoffs
davidandbrolith · reddit · 2026-10-20
A Reddit user discovered ChatGPT sessions can now message other projects/workspaces: one agent can send another session task-completion updates (commit hashes, deliverables, validation status) and request the next parallel assignment, with handoff details like file ownership and GPU coordination visible in the screenshot. The author says this is a long-awaited feature—effectively enabling multiple ChatGPT agents to coordinate parallel work autonomously.
