Anthropic announced the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a wholly owned entity seeded with 5% of the company's shares. For every 50% increase in company value above a baseline, up to an extra 2% can be contributed at board discretion.
Combined with founders pledging 80% of their equity and about half of employees donating via a matching program, roughly 20% of Anthropic's shares are now committed to public benefit.
