DreamZero debuts Dream-1: zero-shot robot brain beats Opus 5.5 at 16x lower cost
gharik · x · 2026-10-20
Stealth-mode startup DreamZero launched Dream-1, a robot foundation model that 'imagines the video, then acts.' It zero-shot controls 27 unseen robots in sim and real arms—including an 18-year-old PR2 with zero robot-specific data—scores 59 on Robocurve's eval vs 48 for Opus 5.5, runs 16x cheaper than Gemini 4 Argon ($3/hour), and fine-tunes with just 5 minutes of your robot's data. The pitch: new robots no longer need their own dataset, just an API call.
