Nutrient launches document decision model: answers in ~200ms with calibrated confidence
TheZachMueller · x · 2026-10-20
Nutrient built a document decision model for cases where the answer is a short choice—is this an invoice or a contract, is an extracted value really on the page, where does one invoice end—rather than a generated paragraph.
Instead of sending whole files to a general-purpose LLM and waiting token by token, the model reads both the page image and the text and returns a choice plus a calibrated confidence score:
- About 200 ms per answer
- Scores calibrated to actual accuracy
- Visual understanding that text-only approaches miss
Available now via the Nutrient API and on Hugging Face for document automation workflows.
