xeophon · x · 2026-10-20
Prime Intellect introduced INTELLECT Policy Optimization (IPO) for async RL: trainer and inference never agree exactly on a token's probability, and IcePop's ratio-based masking misjudges both tails — IPO masks on the probability difference instead. xeophon quipped it's the 'first neolab to IPO'.
