Construction robotics startup Origin emerged from stealth with $20M co-led by Accel and Zacua Ventures.
- OG-1 drywall finishing robot is already deployed with US contractors at 3x human speed and human-level quality.
- Expansion: pilots heading to Germany, Sweden, France and Saudi Arabia, targeting 150 robots by end of 2027.
- Market heat: angels from Anduril, Skild AI, 1X and Tesla; construction robotics venture funding hit $1.36B in the first three quarters of 2025, up 125% YoY.
- A quoted thread also notes Physical AI lab naturewill releasing Natura-1, a 50B-parameter MoE dexterous-hand model (hand-only, 100ms loop vs Figure System 1's 200Hz).
