Cloudflare unveils Clairic, a fast System One extraction model that undercuts LLMs on cost and accuracy
irvinebroque · x · 2026-10-20
Cloudflare announced a preview of Clairic, a new class of "System One" extraction model hosted on Workers AI (@cf/cloudflare/clairic), with open weights planned soon.
Inspired by Kahneman's fast/slow thinking framing and TypeSafe's Jev model from a month ago, extraction models target structured-output tasks that today waste frontier LLM calls: invoice totals, delivery delays, repair cost estimates, 24-hour traffic forecasts. Clairic extracts, computes, estimates, and forecasts values from unstructured inputs at significantly higher accuracy, lower latency, and lower cost than traditional LLMs, per Cloudflare.
