OpenComputer launches Slack-native coding agent that opens PRs from a mention
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-20
OpenComputer launched @Computer, a coding agent that lives inside Slack: mention it in any thread, and it reads the code, makes the change, streams every file and command it touches with before/after screenshots and preview links, then opens a pull request.
- Extremely fast, streaming replies while you type
- Conservative by design: small in-scope changes, follows existing repo patterns, no new dependencies unless asked
- Built for engineers, with adversarial self-review and human merge as the final step
A notable take on putting coding agents where teams already communicate.
