Runway Labs unveils Continuum, an OS-like research app for real-time video interfaces
jongranskog · x · 2026-10-20
Runway's research design studio Runway Labs announced several generative video and world model prototypes:
- Continuum (2026): an "operating system research application" for real-time video interfaces, featuring responsive interfaces re-rendered at every size, visual thinking (an agent's steps drawn as it works), Portals (select anything to open a place over it), and Worlds (step through a portal into a world).
- Generative Video Interfaces (2026): responsive video interfaces flexible and personalized for the task.
- Live Frame (2026): a drawing app that animates your sketches in real time with video models.
Runway Labs is a frontier research design studio where designers, prototypers, filmmakers and artists collaborate with research to imagine new products across film, healthcare, education, gaming and more. The lab is hiring.
