OpenCode Desktop bug: background jobs hang forever and Move to background is a no-op on Windows
shripad-jyothinath · ghdev · 2026-10-20
A detailed issue report against OpenCode Desktop 2.0.32 on Windows 11: background shell/subagent jobs stay stuck in running after the underlying process or child session exits — GET /api/shell returns [] and per-job queries 404, but no completion message is ever written.
Clicking Move to background (Ctrl+B) returns 204 with no effect, leaving the session looking hung; restarting the shared service is the only fix (stale KV records persist). Environment: Electron 44.4.5 packaged app, cmd.exe/PowerShell 5.1, no plugins, built-in MCP opencodeconsole connected. Issue is in triaging with 3 comments.
