Compute marketplace Shadeform announced six new features at its Launch Week:
- Flex VMs: single-tenant VM layer; suppliers onboard nodes in 30 minutes with just an IP and SSH key.
- Spot: list idle nodes to earn passively, instantly reclaimable.
- CPUs: on-demand compute-optimized, general-purpose, and memory-optimized options.
- Apple Silicon: datacenter-hosted Macs coming soon.
- MCP Server: agents can provision GPUs/CPUs directly.
- CLI: deploy and manage compute from the terminal.
Elvis Saravia highlighted the thesis: agentic workflows need GPUs for inference and CPUs for code execution in the same loop, and rental products must adapt.
