Surgeons Complete 100+ Cataract Surgeries Using Apple Vision Pro and ClearSphere App
asymco · x · 2026-10-20
Sharp HealthCare teams have completed over 100 cataract surgeries from start to finish using Apple Vision Pro with the ClearSphere app as part of a clinical study. Surgeon Tommy K. presented the published peer-reviewed research at an Apple Healthcare Leadership Summit, claiming the setup helps eye surgeons operate more safely, precisely, and with less physical strain.
The study is published on PubMed, with NBC San Diego coverage and full surgery footage available. A fellow surgeon noted that 100 cases is where other surgeons stop calling it a demo.
