Berlin AI film hackathon challenges teams to make a short film in 3 hours
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-20
Neuland Cinema in Berlin, curated by AI Filmmakers Berlin with CapCut, ran two tracks: an open call for finished AI films and a live hackathon where 1-3 person teams produced a 60-120 second film on a set theme in three hours, edit included. Robert Gaudette's "A Face Only A Mother Could Love" won Best AI Short Film. Advice for skill-building: pick a theme, set a 3-hour timer, and finish a rough 90-second film before it rings.
