Valar Atomics founder praised for rallying believers: build metal first, theorize later
robleclerc · x · 2026-10-19
AlleyCorp GP Abe Murray praises Valar Atomics founder Isaiah as a phenomenal storyteller who rallied a "cult of belief" around nuclear power. Isaiah insisted from day one: "You have to touch metal. You can't theorize your way to a new nuclear reactor."
His thesis: the world needs cheap energy, not theoretically optimal reactors — buildable, scalable ones. The poster notes many thought Isaiah delusional at the time; in hindsight investing in Valar looks like a smart move.
