Four Robot Learning Paradigms Compared on the Same Data: VLA, Dreamer, V-JEPA, Cosmos Policy
GlenBerseth · x · 2026-10-19
Glen Berseth will teach a hands-on session at MAIN educational 2026 (Oct 26, CRIUGM, Montréal), right after Sonia Joseph's lecture on interpretability in video world models like V-JEPA; notebooks and recordings will be shared afterwards.
The session compares four modeling paradigms on the same robot data: Policy/VLA (predicts actions, never sees what comes next), pixel world model Dreamer (imagines the next frame), latent world model V-JEPA (predicts the next embedding, skipping pixels), and world action model Cosmos Policy (actions plus the future).
