The 80/20 of using Claude: six features that replace six time-wasting habits

A widely shared infographic, "The 80/20 of using Claude," argues that 80% of Claude's value comes from 20% of its features — each one mapping to a specific bad habit, so you set up the one killing the most of your time first.
The six pairings:
- CLAUDE.md ← no context file, re-introducing yourself every chat: write once, auto-loaded before every reply
- Skills ← retyping the same prompt: turn repeating tasks into reusable commands
- Projects ← starting from scratch: one workspace per client/project keeps files, briefs and rules pinned
- Plan Mode ← fixing after the fact: Claude shows the plan first and waits for approval
- Subagents ← one endless chat thread: one agent, one job, chained into a pipeline
- MCP Connectors ← manual copy-paste: connect Gmail, Notion, Drive or Slack for live context
You don't need all six — an hour of setup on the right one moves you out of the low-value zone.
