DHH's $6 Shenzhen ride in a Chinese EV with S-Class interior sparks alarm for EU automakers

DHH (creator of Ruby on Rails) posted that an unknown Chinese car brand drove him back to his Shenzhen hotel with an interior as nice as a top-spec Mercedes S-Class — for a $6, 20-minute ride — saying Germany should be worried. LinusEkenstam amplified it, predicting an 'insane wake-up call' for the entire EU auto industry.
The photos show the car is an XPENG G9 SUV on display in central Paris, featuring tan leather rear seats, a roof-mounted entertainment screen and panoramic glass roof, with a humanoid robot also showcased at the event.
