Three humanoid robots assist surgeons in Samsung Medical Center demo
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-19
Samsung Medical Center in South Korea demonstrated how humanoid robots could assist a surgeon during a simulated gallbladder operation using goat liver tissue.
Three humanoids worked as a surgical team: one was teleoperated by the surgeon to perform incision, dissection, and suturing, while another handled surgical instruments, picking up and delivering tools. It's an early proof-of-concept for humanoids in high-precision medical settings — the author asks how long until robots can perform surgery fully autonomously.
