haider1 · x · 2026-10-19
MiniMax released M3.1 Flash, an agentic model focused on price-performance. Official benchmarks show it scoring 62% on Automation-Bench, ahead of Opus 5 (50.3%) and GPT-5.6 Sol (45.8%), with DeepSWE at 74% and BabyVision at 91% — roughly on par with both frontier models.
Pricing is $0.15/$0.60 per million input/output tokens ($0.015 for cache reads), about 1/33 the cost of Opus 5 ($5/$25), two-thirds cheaper than M3 and 3x faster. Space Bunny, which topped global leaderboards with 200T+ tokens served, was an earlier version of this model. Open weights arrive October 23.
