No-code engineer builds two music guessing games with Claude as tribute to late sister
roy979 · reddit · 2026-10-19
A mechanical engineer with no coding background built Shabang, two daily-challenge music guessing games, entirely with Claude — originally for his sister, who was hospitalized with cancer for three months; she passed away on Aug 29 before he finished, and he shipped it in her memory.
- TrackStack: songs split into stems — you start hearing only drums, each wrong guess layers in bass, guitar, piano... vocals last.
- Songuess: you hear 0.2 seconds of a song; wrong guesses extend to 0.5s, 2s, 4s...
Less audio heard = more points; both games have a global daily challenge. Stack: Flask backend plus a Demucs-based stem-separation pipeline, with all code written by Claude. Free, no signup, mobile-friendly.
