Graph engineering plus tiny-model routing sorts 1,000 articles overnight for 4 cents

A practical playbook for parallelizing agent workflows by drawing them as boxes and arrows: prune 'fake arrows' where downstream steps don't actually need a result (a dozen fakes in a 40-step workflow is realistic), mark arrows that require decisions, hand writing/summarizing to big models, and let the small 'Jev' model handle all decisions as single-choice, score, or yes/no calls. Result: 1,000 articles sorted overnight for 4 cents; others processed 1,018 papers for 8 cents. An accompanying article covers using graph engineering to make agents self-check their work.
