DeepSeek drives Blender solo: full modeling-render run costs ~$1.7 and 1.58M tokens
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-10-19
A user ran DeepSeek (1017) inside Blender via dshTUI and the dsh-blender-plugin, letting the model independently complete a modeling-and-rendering task in 1h20m using 1.58M tokens (about 12 RMB / $1.7), with screenshots of the resulting ship model.
Retweeter teortaxesTex notes it's a far better Blender interface than the default MCP. The screenshot shows the agent checking mesh geometry (finding 145 verts penetrating the hull), generating art masks, running two-camera check renders, all in a headless background process with live cost and log tracking. The tools are available for download.
