Anthropic reveals Claude now drives 26% of its own AI R&D
emmanuelvivier · x · 2026-10-19
Anthropic published three public measurements to track AI development pace inside frontier labs: the share of AI R&D performed by AI itself (Claude now handles 26%, with no fully autonomous tasks yet), oversight of agent actions, and compute allocation. It also plans to embed independent third-party evaluators with access to internal processes and data to verify safety practices and monitor these metrics.
