ChatGPT keeps flagging its own normal replies as sensitive, users report
HotFishySalmon · reddit · 2026-10-19
A Reddit user reports that ChatGPT has recently been flagging its own replies for "sensitive content" in completely normal conversations. To "fix" it, the user has to edit their message — which consumes tokens — and sometimes even that doesn't work, with the reply getting removed again immediately.
In one case, right after sending a long message with several attachments and hitting the 24-hour rate limit, the content was taken down for "safety reasons" almost instantly. The poster asks whether others are seeing the same issue, suggesting a recent wave of false-positive safety flags.
