"You can just recreate any app in a day": Redditor vibe-codes a better Plex with IPTV
enkidook · reddit · 2026-10-19
Frustrated with Plex's live TV/IPTV support, a Reddit user vibe-coded their own web app in a day: a Plex replica with better IPTV, custom 24/7 "channels" from their library, and sports API integration so IPTV sports channels only appear while events are actually airing — zero dead channels. Last weekend they also replaced Kometa and Title Card Maker with leaner homegrown scripts. Takeaway: "if you can think it, you can make it."
