Assembly-style DSL for local decision models splits fuzzy judgment from deterministic code
HuygenAu · reddit · 2026-10-19
A r/LocalLLaMA developer shows a successor to their "assembly language that runs on an LLM" experiment: a 1980s-assembly-style DSL where prompts are split into probabilistic/human-judgment parts and deterministic code parts.
The sample program is a room-temperature controller: a small local decision model classifies how warm the room feels on a 5-point scale with a confidence score; above 0.5 confidence, deterministic code adjusts temperature by 3°C per step, otherwise it escalates to a person. The author argues such decision models are a natural bridge between the "analog world" and the "digital world."
