Deep research veterans see value in instant LLM summaries that novices miss

@literalbanana notes a practical research workflow: if you've done lots of research on a topic, you can hand-write a couple-page summary of some aspect. An LLM can produce the same instantly with zero research on your part, and it's very useful — but people who've never done deep research tend to imagine there's no difference between the two.
