will shares a survey chart (Anthropic staff vs N=10,980 US adults) on when AI will match skilled professionals: routine emails 86%/53% today, bookkeeping 58%/41%, tax returns 60%/37%, software products 40%/24%; by 2027 staff expect near-100% automation on most knowledge tasks, and 58% expect Nobel-level discoveries. He says he'd even grant all of this happens by 2027 — but any model converting these numbers in a vacuum into obscenely high GDP growth is fundamentally flawed.
