CoverBand turns any MP3 into a Guitar Hero chart in your browser, built via Claude from a phone
Sonnyc56 · reddit · 2026-10-19
A Redditor released CoverBand, a browser app that converts any MP3 into a playable Guitar Hero / Rock Band-style chart. Everything runs locally: stem separation, beat analysis, and vocal extraction for karaoke tracks — no server, free forever.
Highlights:
- Supports real instruments, guitar/drum controllers, MIDI drum kits, and using your phone as a controller via a WebRTC QR code
- The author says all 3D assets, the release video, and the code were created by Claude (opus 5.5) in 3-4 days; he never opened a code editor and directed everything from his phone while traveling
