Indie dev launches Cohestry, a local-first second brain that feeds agent context via MCP

An indie developer unveiled Cohestry, an iOS/Mac-native second brain that auto-tags and links notes scattered across Apple Notes, markdown files, and past AI conversations, so agents can pull context instead of users rebuilding it every session.
- Importing notes produces genuinely useful auto-connections, with a 3D visualizer for spatially exploring links between ideas
- A Mac MCP bridge lets agents retrieve exactly what they need, with access controls to avoid context bloat
- Security is built in: the bridge auto-redacts API keys and credentials (including .p8 keys) before context reaches agents
- Local-first via Apple APIs; notes never leave your devices unless you explicitly expose them through MCP
The app is live on the App Store and the author is soliciting workflow feedback.
