A developer released a WhatsApp MCP server that runs free on Cloudflare, letting Claude on mobile read personal WhatsApp messages.
- Existing options required either WhatsApp Business or a real server running Baileys; this needs neither
- Key design: it also connects to your Google account to fetch contact names, since otherwise many contacts show only phone numbers and search breaks
- Author stresses it's a single-user install — both a gray area and highly private — and suggests pointing your agent at the repo to set it up
