Accenture caps Claude spend at $29/person/month after some staff hit $1,000 months

Accenture told staff it will only centrally fund about $29/month per person for Claude, after some employees ran up $500-$1,000 monthly bills.
The author argues this is what an aimless rollout looks like: seats used for slides, emails and summaries, finance slams a cap, and the people doing real AI work get cut too. He cites Anthropic's Economic Index noting that AI deployment for complex work is "constrained more by access to information than underlying model capabilities."
From 100+ Claude rollouts, his five tips:
- Report whether handoffs stopped happening, not weekly active users
- One shared Project per recurring job, not per department
- Finish connector setup
- Turn your best people's workflows into Skills, interviewing doers not process owners
- Only then give Cowork a multi-step job with a clear definition of "done"
