Open-source AgentsInTheCloud ships Codemode for built-in agent, adds GitLab/Bitbucket
lucasmeijer · x · 2026-10-19
lucasmeijer released a new version of AgentsInTheCloud, an open-source setup that moves your browser, terminal and VS Code coding agents into isolated cloud environments—one fresh environment per task, so agents keep working after you close your laptop, with a mobile experience included.
- Built-in agent gains Codemode: it writes short scripts to call its own tools, running commands in parallel, chaining edits and filtering large outputs; with OpenRouter connected, scripts can also use classifier and image-generation models
- GitLab and Bitbucket support alongside GitHub; private repos clone into workspaces with template search and glab/bkt ready to use
- Faster workspace loading and many bug fixes
Free and open source, self-hostable on Hetzner, DigitalOcean or a home machine via Tailscale plus a one-line installer; works with any model or subscription.
