Gary Marcus ridiculed the Anthropic projection (cited by Kalshi) that AI could push US GDP to $44 trillion by 2030, calling it "not a remotely reasonable extrapolation" and "a desperate attempt to prop up a rapidly declining IPO." Kalshi also pegs IPO odds this year at 70%.
