A viral screenshot captures Yann LeCun vs Elon Musk: LeCun ran the physics—"it's just compressed air, less than 50s specific impulse; even if 50% of the car's mass were compressed air you'd get under 10s of useful thrust." Musk replied "I fart in your general direction." LeCun riposted: "From a high-pressure belly, that could propel you—your car is exactly that: a 700 bar, 600 liter, 3-second, noisy fart (hopefully without the methane)."
