Solo dev launches first Mac app Stillworlds, built end-to-end with Claude Code

A solo developer from London launched Stillworlds, his first Mac app: 11 animated ambient worlds (rainy lakeside cabin, record shop in a storm, moon colony, 3D voxel villa) built throughout with Claude Code. 3 worlds free, all 11 for £5.99 one-time, fully offline, no accounts or tracking; Mac App Store version under review.
How he actually used it:
- He owned concept, composition, color and lighting; Claude generated initial artwork and implemented code
- Claude Code + Blender + Python scripts built the 3D voxel world procedurally; he reviewed renders and tuned layout/lighting
- Day/night transitions follow the Mac clock — polishing both moods took far longer than expected
- A real native macOS screen saver was much harder than a fullscreen window
- Claude also helped with licensing, offline activation, updates and debugging
Biggest lesson: making something work with Claude differs from making it feel finished — describing specifically what's wrong beats "make it better."
