Indie hacker marclou reports his newsletter product MailCheap has reached three-figure MRR — $191, up from $0 on Oct 12. The pitch: run newsletters up to 83% cheaper than beehiiv (75% cheaper than Mailchimp/Ghost), paying only for emails actually sent from $19/month, with no fees for dormant subscribers.
Current numbers: 99.2% delivery rate, 0.024% spam complaints, 16,737 emails delivered in 30 days. He says the startup was profitable from day one, takes no investors so won't raise prices, plans to open up all metrics publicly, and is collecting feature requests from paying users.
