Open-source Groki bot turns an ESP32 into a voice-controlled Grok desktop assistant
alexcovo_eth · x · 2026-10-19
The open-source Groki project shipped a major update: an ESP32-powered desktop bot can now call Grok's native voice capability directly, with no third-party speech relay API — it simply uses the voice quota bundled with your existing Grok subscription.
- Voice controls all of the bot's tools, including creating new bots, setting scheduled tasks, and invoking X tool use
- Fully open source; any ESP32 board with a mic and speaker can be flashed to try it
- The poster says they'll build one as soon as their ESP32 arrives
