Running Moss image model on a 4GB RTX 3050, optimized down to 62s per image
sanketshinde2004 · reddit · 2026-10-19
A Redditor got the open-source Moss image model running locally on a 4GB RTX 3050 laptop and open-sourced the setup. First generation took 15 minutes; after optimizations it's down to 62 seconds (with a cached prompt; new prompts take longer). The moss-image-studio repo adds an experimental int8 quantization option and lets you switch models without removing the original one. Low-VRAM users can replicate the setup, and the author is collecting speed reports from other 4GB-card users.
