VAST open-sources EdenLive: a video model as a real-time game renderer at 24fps
lmoroney · x · 2026-10-19
VAST released EdenLive under Apache 2.0, an experiment in using a video model as a game renderer: an engine runs rules, movement and world state and emits a rough reference video, which EdenLive re-renders into detailed frames in real time (24fps+), guided by a target first frame and text prompt. Built on Wan, with 5B and 14B weights released. A neat teaching angle: scene rules and visual style can be designed independently.
