GIMP 3 plugin adds local Generative Fill, Remove and Expand via ComfyUI
Speedeee_ · reddit · 2026-10-19
An open-source plugin, gimp-openfill, brings Photoshop-style AI editing to GIMP 3 running on your own ComfyUI: generative fill with up to 8 variations, prompt-free object removal via LaMa/MAT, generative expand/outpaint, and text-to-image on a new layer. It reuses any existing ComfyUI install, ships with a model download manager and defaults (DreamShaper 8 Inpainting, RealVisXL V5 + Fooocus patch, LaMa), supports Qwen-Image-Edit, and runs cross-platform in beta.
