Green on status.claude.com questioned: Anthropic compute or profitability?
gerardsans · x · 2026-10-19
Gerard Sans continues questioning Anthropic: beyond compute shortages, who is supposed to pay for it, given the company struggles to stay profitable. The status.claude.com screenshot shows 60 days with 99.77% uptime for the Claude API and 99.72% for Claude Code, with numerous degraded incidents. He argues "green doesn't mean no compute shortage — it means they're not making a profit."
