Dev warns: site blocking and prompt injection could kill the agent ecosystem
HankYeomans · x · 2026-10-19
Hank Yeomans argues the agent ecosystem faces two hard realities: if major websites block agents because they raise usage, COGS and infra costs, agent quality won't matter; and the banking industry has zero appetite for prompt-injection attacks that force it to recover stolen money. His takeaway: teams building agents like dots, bot, and Muse must get crisp on security or their products will never be useful outside the tech niche.
