Blender armor build-off: Opus 5.5 works 2x longer than GPT-6 Astra for similar quota
Spiritual-Editor-222 · reddit · 2026-10-18
A Reddit user tested Claude Opus 5.5 (Extra effort) and GPT-6 Astra (Max) on the same task: reproducing a medieval armor from 40 reference photos in Blender. Opus took 1h30 and burned 20% of a $20/month Pro weekly quota; Astra took 45 min using 5% of a €100/month plan. Factoring plan prices, quota consumption is close—the difference is Claude worked twice as long. Cycles renders of Opus's output show impressive detail in chainmail, leather and gilded accents.
