AMD last week unveiled its new 'Helion' rack systems aimed at agentic applications, offered in two configurations: a CPU-only rack with up to 32,768 EPYC cores, or a CPU-plus-GPU configuration featuring up to 16 MI355X GPUs. The move positions AMD squarely against NVIDIA and Intel in the datacenter race for agent workloads.
